Fascinating stuff, though it makes me wish I was here to fish these rivers 30+ years ago...

I remember we only ever used to go as far as the S bends 25yrs ago. That's all covered in by trees and dirt now hiding the creek at the back and you probably wouldnt even know where it was unless you had seen it and or fished it before the changes.
Fish stories told here....some true !!!

When in doubt...exaggerate !!

I enjoyed that. If you were there in the old days you would have to stop lift your prop and float over the nets

I know there is another thread for this, but can someone tell me why they are redoing the shady camp ramp. You can clearly see it's not the main river anymore. Even over the last 3 years it's had some pretty big changes. It will be a waste of money.
Great clip though. I wish I had that job. But I would definitely have the rods on board ha ha

Remember fishing shady in the early 80s. Launch the boat anytime of the day or night. If you were camping there you just tied the boat up against the bank and come and go as you wished. Didn't need to worry about the tides. All the new barrages have had a huge affect I guess. Certainly didn't need to go anywhere near the mouth to get good fish. The changes to shady over the years are astonishing to say the least. Oh to fish those days again!!!!!
