5 bucks for dump thats sound fair BT. I would have charged you 20 bucks for not using the secure car park and launch service. Sorry make that 20 just for the secure parking. :D :D

Good intentions by Brian but how does one trap a big injured bird without hurting it. I fish leader a bit but haven't see this injured bird. If he that big bastard near the mouth I have caught him a few years back on big mullet. The hook jagged his foot as he stole the mullet and it spooled the bait caster. He hit the water hard and i wound him in to free him. Lucky for me the hook came out while he we on the going off on the side of the boat.

Its not the 5 bucks i care about, would have paid what ever, its the way he Demanded it, when we had returned from a day on the water. He came over and i half expected some small talk about fishing, not some bloke waveing his finger at me demanding 5 bucks from 10 hours ago.....paid him anyway, but he will get no buisness from me .....ever.

Years ago in NSW, servos used to make you buy something before you could use the crapper.
When you see the mess that some ar5eholes (pun intended) leave behind (pun intended), i would charge much more.

I spoke with ol' mate last night and he has a plan sorted. I want to be there so i can video the action of feathers and fingers flying all over the place.

I spoke to the missus last night regarding going out there as she is a vet and basicly it's not as easy as just removing it and throwing it back (even if you could catch it without losing body parts)
Arrow might be through just under the skin, but could also be through something vital and actually blocking it up and removing it could kill it, there's about 5-6 different scenarios she went through and none sound easy, I'm happy to help but worried could end up killing it as I don't know what I'm doing, she does as she's worked with everything from rhinos to kittens but access to drugs etc could be hard.
It's a hard one and as much as I hate to say it hemi might be right with putting it down but honestly mate you don't need to be a dick about it. I'm no greenie or tree hugger, I just like animals more then people sometimes...

Just had a call back from the Parks and Wildlife bloke who gave me the details on what’s happening.
He and Brian have been working out the details and legalities etc so its Best to leave it with Brian and him as they have had one go at snaring it before without success. As I said, the talons are the big problem.
Ark Animal hospital will rehabilitate it for free.
The last option is to shoot it.

Yeah just spoke to possibly the same guy nomad, ray at parks and wildlife.
He reckons he's happy to let Brian try and catch it but doesn't want many other people out there trying, said the scar tissue might push the arrow out after a while and it's feeding and healthy so theres not much can be done as they are almost impossible to catch.
He's after any info anyone might have about who shot it too, so if anyone hears anything down the pub please call ray on 0401115702

I saw that eagle near the mouth on Saturday morning. The arrow was sticking at a foot from its chest and it had a mate flying around close to it. Look like its still got a a lot of mobility but I could not get close to it to have a good look. Poor thing.

Completely forgot to ask Brian for an update at the end of the day.

Anyone hear anything?

Brian rang me last weekend mate and is waiting for Ol mate from parks to let him know when he can be there for legal and safety reasons. Pretty sad hey mate that someone would want to shoot it which is why a cull on crocs up here would be scary with some of the dickheads around
