Nyampi Creek - info

Post by Rhet »

This place sits between the Roper and the Towns.

Anyone been into there or know much about the area around it?

I'm a bit familiar with the Roper and the Towns but haven't been to any of the coastal areas in between. That will change later this year and I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has been into the coastal creeks between the Roper and the Towns.

Cheers, Rhet

I'll broaden my range of question to seeing if anyone has explored out of the mouths of the Roper or Towns at all?

I hoping to uncover anyone's lessons they have learned about exploring this coast to save re-inventing the wheel.

G'day Rhet,

I haven't been in there, but I know some people that have been in there and in the Spillens (Sth of the Towns). Some people have driven & bank fished Nyampi with mullet. The other people have fished the Spillens by helicopter.

I can try to extract some info from them? From what I understand, they are muddy flood-plain creeks with some mangroves but full of mullet & Barra.
Insanity is a good place to hide from reality!

It is not how long the fish is but how long you have fished & how long you've wished.......
