I'm looking at installing LED flood lights on the bow for travelling at night, does anyone have a recommendation on type? Also, would a LED light bar be worth investigation over two LED flood lights? I'm just concerned the minn might get in the way of a light bar.
Thanks,
Ozlad

I too are going to be up for something the same. Im going to start my research with an understanding of IP ratings.
Eg. http://www.euroboxenclosures.co.uk/IP-R ... lained.php
I think IP66 minimum but would go for an IP68 rated light.

Go hid for more distance or the led light bar will need to be quite big to compensate compared to a single hid ..
There are some wicked light bars getting around now tho..

Go down to 'Nautical supplies' & check out their range of Hella marine lighting.
Bit more pricey but its quality, good warranty etc.

I have a pair of these
http://www.snakeracing.com.au/dually-LED-lights.html
And just upgraded to a pair of these
http://www.monsterlights.com.au/stinger2.htm
You cannot go wrong with either of these lights. You can see the whites In someones eyes in an oncoming boat from the other side of Darwin harbour.

I'm in the process of setting up a removable light board with 2 55watt HID spotties and a 20led all brought off ebay for under $100 delivered

Thanks Seano. I like the idea of it being removable and not drilling anymore holes in the boat.
