Larrakeyah boat ramp

Post by Dyksy »

Hey all,
Im in defence and looking at using the larrakeyah boat ramp tommorow. Ive heard its quite slippery on the low tides? Poor planning but thays when were looking at recovering. Is this going to be possible i have a 4wd.

I'd strongly advise against using it on a spring low. I've seen blokes lose their cars there (4wds) and people break limbs.
Good luck.

Thanks richie... changed plans and will go do an early fish... launch from nightcliff... is the larrakeya ramp accessible on normal tides or always slippery?

Its fine most tides, only the lowest of the low it is not much chop. They replaced the metal tyre grip grates a few years ago.
Just got to be careful not to slip over.
