I am still looking for that map zedjack33 :banghead:

I have got a large "topographic" one but it is too large to scan :bonk:

When I find the smaller one :uhh: , I'll scan it

The "morning glory" is a large rolling cloud formation and is awesome to see 8-)

:fishing:
That was the date set on the ship's camera, not the actual when it was taken, i know it was in 2005 though. Apparently the morning glory's in the Gulf of Mexico mvoe with alot more force than the ones here, enough force to actually roll small vessels  .
I was there 94 Tigers so that would be Aug thru to Nov from memory (only did one season, that close and personal with so many knobs didn't thrill me) and got some photo's of the Glory. They just don't do it justice, you actually have to be there to see it to really appreciate the awsomeness (god I sound like a 15 year old  ) Learn something new everyday though, I thought they were just a cloud band, didn't know they can actually do damage! :o

Hi Zedjack here is a link to a bit of info on Centre Island and King Ash Bay.

I love the place. :fishing: It's got everything. :catch:

Just make sure if you venture out the front of the river you mark the channel. Your small boat will still hit the mud banks out there coming back if you mess it up.

And the river has some big crocs in it. :croc:

FYI

Meter Seeker how right you are about the morning glory, i haven't experienced anything like it since.

I wasn't to sure what to expect from it as it came rolling in, it's amazing how quick the wind disappears after it passes over.

Zedjack please keep us informed on how the trip unfolded for you. I'm sure you would have had fun.

cheers

Wes
I've had the chance to meet Mrs Metery.

The FISH FINDER book has a full satellite image of the whole area including most islands - the best map available for fishos I would hope, if not I need to know what is

The only trouble I had with the map in the book was the place of interest for me was right in the book spine line. SO I ordered a A3 map from you and it solved the problem. The map worked a treat.
