Hey guys I've actually just travelled to Zimbabwe on a fishing trip and I got through Darwin ,Singapore, Johannesburg and Harare return with three reels packed with 50-80lb braid in my carry on and they didn't say a thing, all airports other then Johannesburg let me through with the lures and hooks in my carry on. But they stopped me there and made me check them in under the plane. Also my rods were carried in a rod tube and under the plane so can't say much on that. Anyways hope this helps, have a good trip
