Hi all
A couple of us Qlders are heading to King Ash in Oct-Nov this year We are taking a couple of Stacer 4.3 Assults
What tackle size will we need and what can we expect to find up there in the way of fish species
I have plenty of Barra lures all sizes and colours
Any way point or tips would be taken on board with many thanks
Cheers from the Virgin King Ash visitor

I recommend getting a fish finder mag bud . It's way cheaper than a prop if you hit a rockbar ... never been there but I'm sure that there's a few spots you can access with that setup. ..
Tight lines 'n' keep the shiny side up people.

Fairly shallow river, with a few rock patches to beware. Many fishos chase barra outside around the island headlands.
Queenfish and trevally are prolific, there's plenty of country to explore. Coral trout, jacks and cod on the shallow reefs. Mackerel out wider.
Plenty of folk at King Ash Bay will help, it is like a metropolis in the Dry.
