Dundee Tractor Facilities

Post by jasbags »

Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone on here knows what time the tractor runs at Dundee Beach for launching and retrieving? Any idea on $$??

Also, is the person who runs the tractor contactable or do you just rock up and hope he's there?

Thanks / Jason
May the fish be with you........

Is that $20 for a launch and another $20 for the retrieve or $20 for both?

Nomad,

One payment only of $20 will see you launched and retrieved, you will be given a number on a large card (corresponding No card the tractor driver will place on yr trailer), when you come back to the ramp hold up yr card, the driver normally sits up the top of the hill with binoculars and he will hook up yr trailer and make his way down to the beach.
Be careful when you have a westerly wind, it can be a bit hairy with sometimes big rollers coming in while trying to line yr boat up on the trailer

Tractor man is a top bloke if you get to know him. If you don't like the price, dont use it. Given the operating environment his gear works in and the up keep of it, $20 is more than fair.
Smile and the world smiles with you, fart and your all alone.
