Lee point no worries Brent

Just burley up the gar in close near Lee-point reef and float one out live under a balloon, got a couple there last year and lost a few good ones

Cheers
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Fish the Lee Point inshore reef with live gars or small live reef fish for bait, also troll the Bottlewasher Reef and other Lee Point wrecks with deep lures.

The deep water on the Cox Peninsula side of Channel Rock has big mackies in the dry season, troll deep lures or drop a live reefie on the turn of the tide.

Best at dawn, with another run at dusk. Fish deep during the day.

Out front of Bynoe is also good, just troll around the many reefs.

Was bitten off by a monster Mack out the front of byno last weekend. But through 80lb wire trace like it was butter!

Single strand or multi strand wire?

blw - had a few problems with the multi strand myself, single strand is
a must have if using wire traces IMHO. although i prefer to bypass the trace altogether,
more bite offs but alot more hookups. but im sure others will disagree.
lee point seems like a safe bet for maccies, pretty common grounds for them

Yeah Righto. I use 100lb heat weld. Or single strand stainless. With a 6/0 circle. On a balloon.

cheers Brent

Yeah it was multi strand. I went to fishing and outdoor world ans stoked up on 150 lb wire and started doing them myself, haven't had the chance to give them a go yet.
I know the wire puts fish off sometimes but if I get a monster I want to have a high chance of landing it rather then a migh chance of loosing it you know haha.
