Hi all
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I'm planning a trip to Goat Island in early May and from all reports we should be lucky enough to bring some of our catches home to Canberra.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest a Hotel that we can stay at that can also store frozen fish for a night before our flight home. A friend that has done this trip before has the container sorted but was lucky to have accommodation at a private residence last year which is not available this time around for all of us.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

best to call prospective hotels. They might be able to help you out.
If not, i can throw it in my freezer for the nite depending on when you come. Plenty of room in there....
If you need more containers, Mr Barra has them (down near fishos wharf near town)
poor bugger living in canberra, i used to live there.... i do miss it...

Will do, just thought I would ask here first.
Thanks for that, hopefully it won't come to that but thank you very much for the offer. Not too sure what type of containers we need just yet but thanks for that lead as well.
I'm a big fan of Canberra, pretty much close to everything, well 2-3 hours away...

Maybe check with some of the tour-based B&B's. Many of them offer B&B accommodation separate (ie not contingent) on their guiding businesses. Sure they'd be set up for freezing clients fillets. PM if you need names.

Thanks for that, I think the only requirement my mate has is that we're a close crawl from http://www.shenannigans.com.au/
