I was told this afternoon that WA don't have breath testing for boaties, can anyone confirm. It must just be an EC thing.

So no drinking over 0.05, but its fine to allow a sober person control over a boat without having to know what the red and green colours mean, or which side to give way to.....

Ha! I was waiting for Nomad the preacher to comment!

That soapbox must be getting worn out by now.

Yeah, sure, you can go through all that hassle, but that’s not the point really. Just another inconvenience. As has been stated, where’s the statistics pointing to a few beers on the water leading to accidents on the water in the NT. It’s not Sydney Harbour FFS!

Looks like Gunner tries to do the right thing, perhaps rare among pollies today. For example, he didn't simply yield on fracking.

But the boat BAC law will be unpopular.

:fubird: :fubird: :fubird: What comes next is rego and a license :fubird: :fubird: :fubird:
And a big wad of cotton wool for all the imports here for the money and not the lifestyle :fu: :fu:
I grew with all that S### down south and it doe's squat for the self preservation of idiots !! (seem to breed like flies these days)
Make a law for common sense and the jails would be full !!
I'll continue to do the usual enjoy my fishing, my beer, my mates an the NT (with a bit of common sense)
Pity the wet season don't last for 12 months that would thin em out!!
Sorry for the rant, but the NT is going down the S### chute at a rapid rate!!
Seems all the reasons I chose to live here don't seem to rate a mention anymore
Bugger this I'm going to have a beer

:drinking1: :drinking1: :drinking1:
Live it and ENJOY
Cant save the world from idiots as they'll just build a better one!
Wouldn't need rules if people did the right thing!
PSST There maybe crocodiles in the water

Will yield on fracking soon. He’s just like all of them, from both sides. They don’t listen to the people one iota. Think the museum, Barneston Boulivard, the list goes on. I understand sometimes they have to make the hard decisions, but wasting money on a museum, when the whole NT is going to Hell in a hand basket is just ridiculous. So many better ways to spend what little money they have.

F@rking big revenue spin and that's about all it is .Money for rego ,money for license ,money for fines. I'll wait to see how much of that money comes back into the fishing community. F@rk all I bet

Well that will do me; just strengthened the resolve to implement with that photo. That right there is your undoing. 3 pups just out of nappies with a skin full.
Game over.

I'm sure there will be a petition soon for opposing licenses for vessels, won't be long. Whichever Government brings in boat licenses or recreational fishing licenses, can say goodbye...

Yep and with government revenue is more important than profit and common sense. Most of the revenue will simply be wasted administering the system. But somehow that is job development and growth.
