i am going on a trip to lake bennett in about 5 weeks time and i was wondering if anyone has any tips on fishing there. last time i fished there we just messed with the big archers on the pontoon and trolled a bit for nothing . any tips on catching any species in there will be greatly appreciated.

Go into the Dead Forest and cast your arm off, troll the edge of the lilies, troll around Pelican Island...............

i have been told theres plenty of sootys around the pontoons. whats your fav method of catching them off there

Hi Leopard, I use bread, small hooks and no weight. Just burley them up and go for it, great fun for the kids!

Pretty much anything will get sooties meat, prawns , chicken cheese etc. All unweighted on 12- 20lb leader.
Tight lines 'n' keep the shiny side up people.
