You're right about advertising, I think it's just the work put in by the people selling it that keeps it going. Anytime I want to buy something I check prices direct with the suppliers rather than being coerced by an ad. People are buying ads because the other guys are advertising and don't want to be left behind. Once the big money cow of newspapers, the Saturday edition has fared worst of all, once there was maybe 30 odd pages of classies, all gone to Facebook and gumtree
Saturdays circulation here was 38000 in 2008, 10 years on its down to 14000. The mumbo jumbo they sprout on about increased readership is just creative accounting. Every hotel in town gets papers delivered whether they are read or not, but are included in "readership" numbers

"What I find interesting about the new information age is that there has never been so much bogus info about, and instead of getting a better education many people are just using the internet to find info that supports what they already believe."

Well said Matt. Words of wisdom :applause:

Rather read the Guardian than the stuff that passes for news on some other websites, don't care too much what Kim Kardashian is up too, or Kanye.

I like reading science websites that are written for the lay person, to the Guardian's credit it reports some of the discoveries, otherwise you'd never hear about them.

For those using google chrome there's a quick fix for the photobucket issue. I'm not too sure about mobile users but for chrome users on laptops/PCs etc. I came across an extension that will enable you to see the broken images hosted from PB. Another temp fix for now (who knows how long it'll hold up) but here it is:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... edg?hl=enm

Click the link and choose to add the extension to Chrome. Then, you want to go to the Extensions main page. It's located in the top right corner menu button, the one that is 3 dots, find the one you just added (it's icon is the shape of a puzzle piece) and check the box that says "Allow Access to File URLs"

Clear cookies in cache and load up a page with a Photobucket link as a test, has worked for me since they ruined the internet.
