2017 forum upgrades

Post by Matt Flynn »

I am updating the FFF forums this year. Always up for suggestions to improve.

I have added a WindyTV widget for Darwin on the top right to give instant weather info. This has been added to the 'Standard' template and will be added to 'White' and 'Glass' templates etc shortly.

I may dump Tapatalk and add a proper mobile phone template instead. How many find Tapatalk critically important?

I have updated and will keep updating the blog Wordpress software. The blogs allow FFF users to create a personalised space, with control over who views and comments, as well as complete control over how the blog looks in terms of design and colour, see here ... blogs/

Send me a PM or comment here if you have any ideas.

Is there any simple way to compress photos before uploading? Or set multiple photos to upload at once? I uninstalled tapatalk, it is a pain.

Only way to add multiple pix at once is to load onto an imaging website somewhere and then paste the URL links in your post text. A few people already do that.

Although you could paste all your images onto one photo file and upload that :D

I am glad the Tapatalk feedback appears unanimous, makes life easy.

Tried taptalk a couple of times, never lasts long. A proper app would be nice, but I understand that's a pain for a relatively small community such as this.

I down loaded tap talk, never use it.
Altho it is a lot easier to upload photos using Tapatalk, can load straight from phone ( as far as I know, didn't use it for long)
But if there Was a way to upload photos straight up with out uploading photos to photobucket. Will make it a bit easier to load photos, there fore more likely to load photos

I am told the new WindyTV widget is not compatible with Internet Explorer, so anyone getting a garbled image should download and install Firefox or Chrome, which are better browsers

Yep Tap Talk is cr.p . I'll switch to Chrome on the home pc and see if that fixes the scrolling issue . Windy TV will open up on IE if you Double click but when you log out it logs you out of the forum as well so you have sign in again .
