harmsey's billfish post gets the nod for me slighty in front of the following nominees..

harmsey in rescue one adventure
jasonmc's post with his sister nailing a big tuna at bynoe
backcasts how to throw a cast net
jay burgess's trip with a thousand photos
hawkeyes scars
marie shoals trip...enough said

a great year for reading posts

my personal highlight for the year

having 5 tremndous hours on the water in 26C perfect dry season weather with one of me best mates johno.fish on every snag, and plenty of beers. what fishing is all about.1st .
having a mind blowing fish-a-cast hour on the tide change on the east alligator ,2nd
the first 'real' runoff fishing i experienced with 2 rods in the slapper. a half dozen quality fish in an hour, 3rd
watching allycat nail her biggest barra so far 80cm up the south, 4th
Catching my fish tuna on board the floating esky with my old man on board up on holidays 5th.
Cheers

KK (aka Hilly)

and then you nod your head like your saying YES to every beat...

Congratulations to all award recievers and thanks Matt for a great site

As a novice fisherman this site has taught me so much, thanks to all the great info packed posts

Its also great to see a forum with friendly and funny people on it, even with the differences of opinion its rare to see anyone getting too uptight.

My highlight was definatley getting my first boat and enjoying the great environment we have on our door step. :fishing: :dolphin: :croc:

Heres to a great 2008 ahead :drinking1:

You have to hand it to Matt, not only will the trophies bring international fame and fortune, but they are practical.

here's mine being christined under the expresso machine! :drinking4:

I can see some fine Twarny port making it's way in there too!
