Blue Classic Manta Ray for trawling
Blue Classic Manta Ray for Casting
Blue Cassic Manta Ray for every occasion.

I agree totally with Dick. My fav blue manta ray which had caught 3 meteries and 4-5 in the 90cm in the last year had hardly any colour left on it. Unfortunately I lost it to to 120 plus barra on my last barra trip. I nearly cried :D

Last week I bought 10 from FOW for 100 bucks. Took everyone out of the packit as rub it on the concrete to take the shine and paint of every lure.

Depends on conditions, eg water clarity, day or night, full moon no moon, so many veriables.

Must say I love white rubbers, even got a black texter in the tackle bag to put stripes on them if it matches the bait.

I'm a big believer in the right depth rather than colour, if your not at the depth the fish are feeding, your not in the game!

Got to say white (hardbody or plastic) for dirty fresh or dirty salt water.

For clearer fresh - green or a combo green/gold,

For clearer salt gold.

Until recently there were very few white hardbodied lures around. I painted some B52s and Poltergeists white.

I think manufacturers have noted the success of white plastics (dropbears and paddletail/hollowbelly styles) and offered white in B52s, Bombers and Warlocks. Don't know if white Warlocks have hit the market yet but we got some to try out in early 2011. Its probaly my go-to lure now.

Hard question cos there are so many things to take into account.

However, the good old gold bomber has got me out of some potentual bagless situations a few times!! ;)
