Half of you blokes would call an early wet if we had rain in July LOL

Didn't Slim dusty write a song about that Shaun ?? :)
I've only had 47 wet seasons so I'll just let the 'experts' argue it out.
Seem to remember something about Oct--May tho'.

I pray that one day God sends me a fish so big that, when talking of it...I have no reason to lie.

You've had 23 more than me so that would make you more qualified

Dunno about 'more qualified', I just go with the flow, learned to trust me 'weather rock'.
If it's wet..it's raining.
If it's dry.. its fine.
If it's gone.. then it's either stolen, or there's a cyclone happening.

Sure beats the 'predictions' from BOM's "head weather forecaster' with the same moniker.

We have still had a storm everyday!! So what's your point? Do we get storms everyday in the dry season? Do low pressure systems form in the Nt in the dry season?

Right you are Scotty - the big mullet schools are absent this year. And as of Saturday just gone, the last of the fresh flowing drains into the system have effectively stopped flowing. It's all over for us for the season - back to the all day low tide lockins for us (Dry Season fishing .......)

When I lived down there, the hillbilly's seriously used to think that any of their meat in the fridge would spoil when they had a thunderstorm because of the electricity in the air would take the electricity from the fridge.
