Hunting ethics (poachers)
How should poachers be punished?
Most people need to think outside the box, but there are some that need to get back in it.

Thats a tough one
Kick the cr.p out of them - Only good if you’re a good fighter (at least better than them or him), don’t get knifed, and if you do give him a serve, don’t end up getting charged by the police.
Burn their gear to the ground – All of the above & ½ a dozen other police charges.
Name & Shame – To who? The police aren’t interested unless they catch them in the act. The news outlets (unlikely without good evidence) Forums (how many people actually read forums)
Not wanting to be negative, but the whole system seems to be geared around the thief. Take action yourself and the police are likely to charge you. Take them before the courts and it’s a slap on the wrist (especially if only 1st or 2nd charge)
Like is said, this is a tough question and I’m sure will generate some passionate responses.

Poachers down this way are beginning to feel the heat.
A few years ago penalties were increased and poachers now stand a good chance of losing all their equipment and their CAR and BOAT if it is used in the act.All the fisheries need to do is watch and wait until the culprits drive away. Hello! The're gone.
A combination of enforcement, penalties that bite, and a bit of encouragement from us can work.
