Tassie flathead now at 'depleted' status

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

Tassie flathead now at 'depleted' status

Flathead in Tassie are like barra in the NT, in that they are arguably the most popular coastal saltwater species.

SA snapper, Qld jewies and macks, WA's pink snapper, Perth reef fish, WA's baldchin, gar, groper, blue groper, barramundi cod ... the restriction list gets longer each year, but government policy is to keep growing Australia's population.

I believe the jewfish around India are now pretty much extinct.
