Nuking cabomba

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

NT Govt Press Release - Beating Cabomba
The NT Government says it is closer than ever to eradicating noxious weed cabomba, a fully submerged aquatic plant that poses a serious threat to
waterways, potentially impacting fishing activities.
An additional $600,000 was allocated to the problem as part of Budget 2017 and Lok Landji Billabong
in Darwin River is currently closed to fishing and boating while the pest weed is being treated.
“We know the importance of biosecurity for the Territory and have had significant success over the past
year,” Mr Vowles said.
“With this new funding commitment we look forward to the day Darwin River can be officially declared
cabomba free.”
