Legune prawn farm 'not viable'

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

“The federal, Territory and WA governments have contributed to the project. The NT government spent $56m on public roads, including $32.2m to upgrade Gunn Point Rd to a two-lane sealed standard.” - NT News.

Just need a 4 lane ramp and parking at the end of each road now.

Yep, at least it gives safer access to fishing spots.

Hard to believe such large investments were made without properly checking the proposal's viability first.

Ponzi scheme at best, let alone the logistics with 3 sites all part of the spawning/breeding & then growout areas hundreds of k's apart, then to get the product out, ?? beats me
I was talking to a board member of niaf & he said that they were not going to get a red cent from that for above reasons & a few more.
