Yes i used to enjoy the show, but the amount of adds in each episode now is getting frustrating. I appreciate they need money from sponsors so they give them a plug, but F*&^ me they aint going to have any viewers soon........... However i do admit I'd like to be doing what they are doing.

Sorry matt. Farken sellouts. First series wasn't to bad, caught the episode where they were meant to go to lorella springs n was full of 2 dumbass idiots who should have stayed at home for another 4 weeks till the road dryed out. But hey they had winch's n other poop to get them trough to show the other dumass 4x4 sheep down south how to destroy a road with. Wonder if they chipped in for the contractors price.

2 episodes in and they haven't hit the water yet...

Re: These boys go the extra yards ...
I have passed the link on from this thread to provide them with feedback
Told 'em early on that the over-commercialisation of fishing shows was driving people nuts, and that they should be careful how they do it.
Looks like my advice was taken on board, not
But it's the way things are now - TV shows have to find their own financial support, unlike the old days when networks just bought a program and the ads paid the bills.
Nonetheless, these are the fellas who hit the out-of-the-way spots that other fishing shows won't visit, except perhaps by helicopter. That's why they got the FFF/FISH FINDER sponsorship. And they had a bl..dy good offroad setup before the sponsors jumped on board. Check out the trailer and the extendable drawbar - very nicely done.
As for the twang - it is part of what made them unique I guess, coupla Qld larrikins.

Re: These boys go the extra yards ...
There's always something for everybody in these shows.
The hardest decision these fellas have to make is to decide on the depth vs breadth dimensions on what they're doing.
For those who want to see where they go, there's a lot of scope.
For those who want to see how they get there, there's plenty of that too.
For what they do when they get there, they cater for a lot of different interests.
Don't know about others, but I enjoy the journey (especially to a new place) as much as the destination.

I don't mind the show, but do agree that there is a little to much plugging going on.They must have shares in EFS I reckon.
Also agree that they should not be stuffing up the roads and I wonder what the legal implications are there. Over here in WA, if you are caugt on a closed road you are in the poop. Massive fines.
I did enjoy the Kimberley trip they did some time ago and there was not as much plugging going on, it was good.
Us northerners often don't like shows like this showing people down south all of our local spots, but at least these blokes show how challenging and dangerous some of these areas are. Hopefully that will scare of the un-prepared.
I did email the show asking where young Rodo was and apparently he had to work and could not make this series.
Tight lines and Merry Xmas to all FFFers.
Dazza.

Re: These boys go the extra yards ...
thanks for the update dazza...the bit of road they got stuck in was the access road from lorella springs station to their fishing camp at the coast
the annoying thing is the fishing will be pretty special when they get around to showing it...maybe ep 24
I'm so over being told a fridge will keep your food and drinks cold
It's a freaking fridge it's what they do

Re: These boys go the extra yards ...
I enjoyed the first series. I have found the solution to shows that are 30-45 min advertorials disguised as TV shows - Change the Channel or turn it Off - stops me from yelling at the TV and spilling my red wine So no more All 4 Adventure anymore for me.
The show I enjoy the most is definitely Hook, Line and Sinker. They give a small plug at the end of each segment and the adds in the program are associated with the sponsors - the semi p..s taking voice they use is pretty funny as well.
The one I dislike the most though is Dave Butfield's Hooked - just a show to help him pay for his charter trips. I doubt he would know how to tie a knot, cast a lure, bait a hook or clean a fish, all get's done for him by the guides/charters he uses. Plus he jumps on anybody elses fish like it is made of gold. I use the same Channel changing or Off button method to watch that program as well.
Merry Christmas to all,
may Santa be good to all and the Run Off be Mega!
Cheers,

Have to agree with the bulk of the responses, are they bunging that accent on?
If I wanted some product info I would probably go to the Waeco website.
Don't mind watching it too much though, about 3 is my limit.
