A great fishing website

This one seems to have slipped under the radar ... http://www.in-fisherman.com/

The Powertail page is a must read.

Hi Matt,

Funny you should mention carp & powertail fishing, and that it such a big deal in the UK; My 5yo was talking this morning about a couple of Powertail we caught in Rapid Creek the other week while Poppy was up here (Father -In-Law) in the context of 'targetting' different fish and whether anyone targets them. I said to him that I doubt anyone specifically aims to catch one, they just happen to be a sort of 'by-catch'. Obviously I had totally forgotten about 'coarse fishing' in Europe. God forbid we are ever reduced to actually considering targeting Powertail or carp as an accepted category of fishing in this country (except as a means of removing a pest from rivers down south)!
Cheers,

Ash

Lucky people in the NT. Barramundi are top of the pile among fishes, and the NT habitat is so good (for now).

It takes a long time to get bored with barra, and even then a month off gets the mojo back.

Jewies, not so much
