Hi All, i hope everyone had a good weekend!!!
I Live in Broome and its extremely hot this time of the year, same as you guys! im trying to find a way to get up of the floor of the boat to get some fresh air whilst we sleep! Ive heard of people putting poles between the gunnels and sleeping across them etc.. Has anyone got some ideas?
Pic for attention. Kimberley WA

Re: Sleeping on the Gunnels
Some people use a stretcher across the beam of the boat, supported by the gunwales.

Re: Sleeping on the Gunnels
Depending where you anchor up, but sleeping on the gunnels in a river is a no no
Get a couple of sirocco fans fitted inside the cabin. They are quiet (ish) and draw very low power.
Ive fitted a couple in my van and rarely use the a/c at night since then

Caframo are pretty effective. I have a big mozzie net over the canopy so there's room to move around

Re: Sleeping on the Gunnels
depending on your space in boat but mate has had a bit of canvas(about body width) sewn up between two metal poles which are the length of your beam..all can be rolled up and stowed away easily.drilled out two holes in the gunnels on either side off boat which the metal poles slip into...gets you off the ground...strong enough to hold a 100kg bloke easily
