Both harbours have been easy pickings with goldies lately all in less than two meters of water with plastics.

Having lived at Dundee and fished the area for the last 10 years I am with Doug. In a usual wet season pattern Goldies are on the chew Oct/Nov in close around Dundee. The best fishing is on the last release of Coral Sperm on the Spring tides. I have always noted that catch rates of Goldies drop off once the storms get active in Dec. Dundee hasn't had 250mm of rain yet so the fish are still in close. In Jan/Feb when the run off is underway Fog Bay is fresh water 7km from the Finniss mouth with not a Goldie in sight.

Ill agree to disagree. Its still a matter of oppinion.

In my veiw Dundee fishing grounds is a lot wider then 7km off shore. We still got plenty of snapper with the fresh pumping out. Maybe just different methods and locations that we have found the snapper on at this time of year. :|

True Cuddles, I agree if your fishing wide of Dundee. Goldies are in breeding mode at present in close and easy targets, they aren't available in close once you get good rain. Last year we fished north of Channel Point 1km off shore and bagged out and threw back all Goldies under 450mm. Around Dundee at present Goldies are in close. There is a spot close to shore that I could throw a rock at, where Goldies are. Goldies school up to breed and thus become easy targets.
