I have never seen so many jelly fish as I have in the last 3 years. They're everywhere. When I was driving barges for Perkins they were thick up along Arnhem Land and around golbourn islands. Also down the west past fog bay, Perons and into port Keats. While I was cray fishing in sa & Tas we saw unusual plagues everywhere, some old timers reckon the Crays were filter feeding and slowed up the catch rates.
