Hi guys
I just put a hds 7 gen 2 in to replace my old gen 1. I'm using my old cables to run the unit , however am I to presume the structure scan on the gen 2 wont run with the structure scan box ? Can I run my ss transducer direct to the unit ? Or do I need the Lss -2 transducer ?
Cheers
Gav

It should just plug and play, I have that exact setup.

Yes.
I have a HDS 7 Gen 2 head unit (not the touch) with a LSS1 structure scan box. I am using an Airmar 50/80 transducer for the HDS 7 and an LSS2 transducer (broke the LSS1 transducer one but that worked too) on the older structure scan.

Yeah I don't think you need the old module. Just plug it straight into port 2. http://support.lowrance.com/system/self ... TICLE=true

Have done the same also, same transducer kept and bypass the box and go straight into head unit. Should work fine.
