GPS Organising

Post by Lats »

Anyone use software or an App for organising their marks on a home computer? Looking for ideas to speed up the process rather than sitting on the sounder touch screen

I use HumminbirdPC. Free download off the Humminbird web site but specific to that brand. I am sure other brands have their own management software.

The Humminbird PC lets you manage and modify all the waypoints and can even display them on Google Earth.

Highly recommended

There's a few, EasyGPS is free and good and you can upgrade to paid version later.

I use OZI-Explorer. there is a free version but the 'buy price' is quite reasonble.

I used it for work (surveying) for many years before adopting it for my GPS marks

Another vote for Oziexplorer, used that one on my old PC but didn't restore it when the PC died.

I'm a fan of Garmin HomePort. Works with everything you throw at it. I have Humminbirds and use it all the time.

Here’s my desk top.

$90 from Jaycar and doesn’t cook the transducer while you play with a few beers.
