Yeah b.radical there were a few boofs by lone fish or small groups. But not for long periods and they were constantly on the move around the area and only during ideal conditions as the wind dropped a couple of times. All the boofs that I cast to resulted in no hits. Once in the dark I heard a few barra and salmon on the 150mm deep flats chasing the mullet in water about ankle deep once the tide ran in a bit but was unable to get into the area they were in.. . Also big solo pelagics occasionally busting up out on the current line around 530pm. Got smoked in the darkness too on a livie cutting 40m of my 50lb braid off on the rocks. :banghead:

Seen a few boofs last weekend when i was out with chris hurt, they were never consistent where we were, but each time it happened he suggested swapping over to a rapala popper with slightly heavier trebles to sit the rear down. i didn't mind either casting the soft plastics with the wind like it was resulted in baby birds nest which was a pain eventually he showed me how its done and landed a little barra

Nasty show of rocks their dude

Shame about your fish Daz... I'm guessing you dont run a "sharkshield" there's a few models available for freedivers or surfers and a big one that mounts to the boat for situations like the above scenario.

Meanwhile today I hit up the local deckchair cinema section chasing redtags and this is the resulting pic for my efforts out there .....

One piddly little rock cod . :banghead: .. from the local Darwin foreshore, but also dropped a 60cm longtom too :| ... but honestly ...It wasn't really that epic of a trip and I wasn't expecting too much from down there anyway :catch: . LOL
