Corroboree is looking very healthy for the future with thousands of rats, fingers crossed we don't have a massive fish kill this year.

Nice pix fellas. Good to see Corroboree is chockers with small fish, they have been saying the same about the Daly.

Crays were going cheap down here when China closed the market.

Some good foters of creatures of the deep here ... https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/02/worl ... index.html

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

A few from the long weekend. Took my girls out for a fish around the harbour. Plenty of skinnies around. Got to sight cast some big blues on the flats and my youngest getting her biggest fish to date good size gold spot cod.

Cheers

The tax man was busy off Dundee this week. The cod shows how it is a dog eat dog world out there. I hooked the small Rankin cod first before it was smashed by the big cod and then he got hammered. The funny thing was the Rankin cod was still flapping around, so I managed to release it.

Had a productive run this weekend. Did Barra run in harbour Friday night mate boated 6 Barra between 40-50cm. We had some shorts strikes from better fish both on plastics and stickbaits. Just after sun up picked up a nice jack on a 3 inch zman.

Sunday took another mate and missus for a run out to Dundee. We were met by good weather but a big line up.
Easy launch and a quick run to first spot sounded around for some jewies thanks to a tip from another mate we located them first cast of the day and my reidys fish snake from the other years fotofish comp (thanks Matt & Colin) was smashed with gusto. A short ten minute fight and up came a nice 112cm jewie. This followed by both my mate and missus hooking up on bait but both dropping them.

We moved on from this spot to get some reef fish. I had recently bought new jogging setup with intent of doing slow pitch jigging most of the day. Quick run to some marks out at sailcity and my first two drops resulted in a goldpspot Trev followed by a brassy.
We picked up some trickies, small Chimaman and a few blue bones. Had some Macks hanging under the boat so out went the metal and picked up one decent Spanish Mack. Finished this spot with a nice golden trev hitting the jig hard.

Final spot of the day we moved in a bit closer. Picking up a small trout on the jig some more trickies and a couple of reds. Punched back to the ramp around last light to be met by a huge lineup at the ramp as tide was still low.

I just want to say thanks to the guys who helped guide my mate back down the ramp. And to the bunch of guys with the black bar rushers beaching themselves at the base of the ramp blocking it off when your car's weren't even ready to go you guys are f@#!ing idiots. You would of held up alot of people.

Cheers

Also guys just a heads up Dundee ramp has silted up Abit. The hole is pretty well only on the LH side as your on the water facing the ramp. We pulled out on 3.2m of water my boat is a 5.35 seajay. But as mentioned two bar crushers around similar size 6m both were beach at base of ramp at same tide height.

Took a couple of visitors for a run out to Lee Point last week. Got a decent mackie that got smashed on the way in, a Cobia on bait and one Tuna from the few schools we saw.
