A Few Crabs

Post by Sullo »

Cleaned my freezer and had a couple of bags of crab bait,my grand daughter thought we should put some pots in for a crab.
Put them in for a few hours and got about 20 legals and kept the best 6.

Very nice! They don't attack each other in that tub?

Great stuff Sullo. Yummo.
Theodosius.... once you cover them, they settle down. Some use mangrove leaves but I use a wet hessian bag

Forgot the string, but a wet hessian bag keeps them pretty quiet. This is just before going into the pot.

These are all full crabs for boiling, will eat a couple tonight then shell the rest tomorrow and make crab cob loaf for dinner.
If i was doing chilli crab i would keep a few just under full so the chilli can get into them.

Cheers guys
