Love it. These are the days of our lives.

Good work on the fess up camfish. You are a bigger man then most for doing so. I also note you came clean before bellfish.

Also I love the actual fishing story. It reminds me of my antics at your age (before responsibility ruined my life) . I tell you if that story had of Been he original post with a question to the forum as to whose fish it was, this would have been a much more positive saga for you both.

My thoughts, coming from a guy who raped every creek, culvert and billabong with live bait in my younger days with my best mate by my side, the rules are:

Unless the rod is given to you at the beginning of the trip, it is owned by the person who casts it out. I have grabbed my mates rod at least 50 times over the years with barra on it and always hand it over when he arrives back. If my mate buggers off completely and you finish reeling it in then it is your fish to keep.

So the one and only question is, was the fish landed by the time camfish returned. If not, Bellfish should have handed the rod over.

At the end of the day it was a team effort, as all good fish are.

Yeah mate, I knew the storey wouldn't work, but I just wanted my points and tried to be a good mate and give bellfish some credit even though he was asked not to touch the rod and was just down to say hi, not even fishing. Like I said no harm ment, I just tried to do the right think for a mate without being robbed of them points I believe to be rightfully mine.
