Guys,

This is Rob from Nautildawg83. I wanted to log in earlier but I have been unable to find my password (and my uni email that I used to log in with was deactivated). The police came around yesterday and have the boat in their custody and have asked me to go in and finalise the details on Tuesday. It looks like it may be a drawn out process but I have all of the identifying marks and serial numbers to know its my boat. It should be a foregone conclusion.

And fellas, a true thank you for putting this up on the forum, this is what lead to me (hopefully) getting my boat back. I kind of decided it was a lost cause about 3 weeks ago, and stopped checking the forum. But thank you for keeping me in mind and alerting the cops, I have a sinking suspicion that I owe someone a beer.

And I seriously can't thank you guys enough. I have to go to night shift now (actually a bit late) and will come back to give some updates on the process.

I will have to catch up with you fellas and bring a carton or two.........

And thanks again crew. Rob

Someone needs to give that thief their spare anchor.
I can give you a way point to take him to
Can only hope he didn't have a chance to breed LOL

Might be someone who bought it without knowing. The court case will reveal all. Perhaps a link to the court info could be provided by the owner in due course.

Yeah it looks like the person who was selling it wasn’t the person who stole it, but time will tell. Something doesn't gel to me ie. the new owner only had it for a very short time. Also looks like it wasnt insured (it will be interesting to see why they targeted this individual boat)
The bloke who stole mine was actually working on the concrete pour next door and thought it would look better in his yard than mine.

maybe Matt can get the OP to keep us updated

You'd have to have a fairly plausible reason for buying and selling a boat in a matter of weeks, and be able to produce a receipt....and a reason why the stickers were removed etc
