wish someone had a number for this nautilus- looks like he hasnt logged on to check since 13 november!!!

Just sent him a pm sp he should get an email telling him to check the site.

There are too many similarities - I'd be surprised if they were different boats. I don't think there'd be anything wrong with contacting Police and directing to the forum. If it has been stolen, and the original poster had reported it, then they'll have his details. There's also a chance the party selling the boat is a bona fide purchaser who didn't know it was stolen.

I tried early on after the post Nomad, left an email message but no reply.

I tried that yesterday but the sheila on the other end of the line just found it all too hard so i hung up. Expected me to have old mates phone number and name from an internet post, god forbid the police might have to do some detective work

AJ, pretty sure that anyone who was privy to information that could be useful to recover property for someone would be appreciated by the coppers (sleuths or not). By the looks of the recent papers, they have been smashing the crooks and getting some good results. Not bad with the meagre resources that they have. Ringing their CrimeStoppers Hotline usually gets the info to those that need to know. The longer you wait, the less likely you'll have it recovered. Probably not look too good for insurance purposes if the insurance company knew you had potential info that could have resulted in the recovery of property either... Food for thought.

Mate I reckon the cops do a great job, just the individual I spoke to the other day was not interested in what I had to say unless i had the blokes name and number or his reference number for having reported it stolen.

Well the Ad is gone from Gumtree now, so it's either sold, or someones jimmies have been rustled....

the boat was recovered by the NT Police on Friday, thanks to this post. it appears it was the same one .

bl..dy good result! hopefully the bloke that had the boat was the one that stole it and gets nicked for it.
