BCF I think. I also got this hitch pin so the whole trailer and hitch cant just be put into another car's tow bar

Is trailer theft a big issue? Has anyone heard of any incidents?
I padlock my new trailer to the vehicle as a precaution but I haven’t heard of anyone’s being stolen at a ramp.
It would be a massive pain in the ass if it did get flogged. How would you get your boat home?

hence the reason why we do it FT.

i know somone who had the hitch removed from his car and took the trailer hooked up to it. people are stealing batteries from cars at boat ramps so a trailer is nothing

Paint your trailer with black and white stripes like a zebra, or yellow and white like a bee, or polka dots .... your trailer will not be stolen, unless the circus is in town

Hally10 the thefts are spread out. I've even seen a trailer taken from the back of a car and conveniently placed upside down on the roof of the car at East Arm

I also have one on mine plus I put a chain through both wheels (Tandem) and round the chassis of the trailer. The chain is in a position where it is hard to get to the lock also.

I have also put a chain through the spare on the winch post and welded the base of the winch post so it can't be unbolted.

We tend to keep an eye out for each other in our street, the last one to try it on got a broken ankle courtesy of Subdueus Maximus. :bbad:
The scumbags soon give each other the word on which streets to avoid.
If everyone took the same attitude, the pr..ks would think twice, and, a lot more gear would stay where it belongs.
Sometimes a little 'therapy' is the order of the day(or night).
" YOUTH is a GIFT "
"AGE is an ART "
"Doesn't mean you get any smarter..just wrinkled and cracked".

"No angler watches nature in a passive way...He enters into its very existence." (John Bailey...Reflections on a Waters Edge)

"Govern a Family as you would catch a small fish....Very Gently." (Chinese Proverb)

"Only those become weary of angling who bring nothing to it but the idea of catching fish." (Rafael Sabatini...1857-1950)

I pray that one day God sends me a fish so big that, when talking of it...I have no reason to lie.

The idiots stick a bit of thin wire in the lock so you can't undo your lock as the key wont go in.

That's the same lock I use, mine came in a combo pack for about 40 bucks that included a lockable hitch pin that is keyed the same as the trailer lock. Got mine from supercheap from memory
Just remember if all else fails "try like F##K" !!!!!!!
