Wyndam Weekend

Post by Dazza Mac »

Greetings fellow FFFers.

Well another Wyndam weekend just past. :D
Not as good as the last one but interesting nontheless.
Went to Parry's Creek on Sunday and Null Nulla Creek and other smaller creeks up the gut on Monday. Not many fish about at all.

The Missus dropped two nice fish in Parry's first up and that was about it for our day there. A few other boats picked up the odd one but all in all it was pretty quiet. The water temp. was running about 34 degrees up the top of Parry's, couple that with near on an 8 metre tide and it makes things pretty tough going.
Big thumbs up to stano338 for towing that fella back from Parry's after he had done his impeller, deserves a carton from that bloke I reckon! 8)

Monday saw an early start up to Nulla. We got good bait before we launched so expectations were high. The Missus hooked up early on a legal fish at 57cm, so we decided to throat that one for dinner and to hopefully break the drought. It was not to be. We did'nt turn another scale all day. :banghead:

bl..dy hot, bl..dy massive tides, bl..dy muddy water, bl..dy no fish, bl..dy WYNDAM.
Awww, how can I stay mad at you, I'll be there in a fortnight.......with bells on.

Note: No photo of the fish. I had that 57cm measured, throated and in the eski that quick, that the thought of a photo was not even mentioned!! :D

yeh planned to hit nulla but defered to the loop but given water and debris we opted for Dicks Creek.
needless to say we were smashed by the big girls..........
nothing like tight casts into tight creek with wood aplenty undoing our best work.......
man there is some big girls under the bridge.....
some big girls up the spillway and wondering why Dick hasn't posted his fish from a few weekends ago.....she looked big across the water

Yep, it's certainly tight in there Palaran. That creek and others on the h'way have fished really well this year.
It's good to see a lot of people out having a crack who may not have a boat, this gives them a chance to get into a fish while the area is so flooded.
Can you imagine it otherwise. With most other landbased options exhausted, it would be pretty frustrating without the h'way option.
