13 centimeters, at the moment it's the difference between agony or ecstasy for these two mighty contenders.

Unless Faulksy can pull off a minor miracle with a 130+ plus fish, then abduct the leaders then it's out of Moonman and CB.

13 centimeters is a handy lead, yet nowhere near enough to be safe. They've turned for home in the Cox Plate with 200 to go at Moonee Valley,Moonman holds by 2 lengths, but the bandit will be under the whip fevereshly in the final 200. Will Moonman give a Northerly like run, looking as if he's going to be pipped but just never gives up the lead, or will Bandit rattle home in the final furlong like Bonecrusher!!

I reckon CB may spend more hours out at Shoal Bay than in his bed this month, and when he's not out there he'll be down the mouth of the South, and when he's being forced to come home for the night,he'll sneak off and fish Leanyer drain for "just and hour or two"....and will return two days later.

As for Moonman, well I reckon he only has to fish and overflowing roof gutter at the moment to pull a big fish,he's on fire.

What will the monsoon do,will it throw an early cat amongst the pigeons, will Madden/Julian oscillation make an early visit, inundating the top end, or will that dispicable pre monsoon steamy heat persist.
There's a long way to go in this one yet,I feel a twist in the making.

I'm backing The Bandit to pull a 109 from the MOS and looking to have the comp as his, only to have Moonman take a 97 on NYE at 9.57pm stopping off in a taxi on the way to Disco just to have a final cast in Casino creek

Moonman $1.77
Corroborrebandit- $1.95

Good question.

Surely it has to come down to a 'golden Barra'. First Barra of 2010 wins

Hey jonesy you crack me up mate! I was hoping you'd do an updated form guide!
Its close going into the decider. But will it be close enough? 13cms is quite an ask to make up with moonys current form. I was really expecting a shoal bay slapper for nov and then he pulls a 105 out of the hat from shady fresh, dont think anyone saw that coming! Ive been chasing his tail since he got the 117 in april and hes hasnt let up!
It will be just short of a mircle for the bandit to come back from this one. And without a meter fish i think i got buckleys.
Got abit of a game plan in my mind of where im gonna fish. marked out a few tides in the diary. Guess its gonna all depend on rain. Would be nice to get one more from the bay but might have to go further a field, one of the big rivers will be a back up plan if everything goes to cr.p.
Either way its been a good year. Some rippers caught, at a glance i think 12 or 13 meter fish in total.
Faulksy has been a strong performer all year and deserves congrats.
Also barralistic and bucaneer worth a special mention, both missed a month earlier in the year, i reckon they would be right up there as contenders had they not missed a month.
Also good stuff to the other people who are 11/11, its been a long year and you've all been plugging it out..
I gotta say i changed my fishing techniques this year. I think catching fish all year isnt to hard if you try, but producing the big fish is the test. You have to change the places where you fish. For example i havnt been to the billabongs once this build up. Good and bad in ways. Good catching big barra but you dont get the enjoyment of racking up cricket scores of small fish.
Interesting to see how it all pans out. Look forward as well to catching up with you fellas for a beer in the new year, be good to meet a few new people as well.
Ive got a team in the classic next year so ill be fishing the daly pretty much exclusivly leading up to the comp. Might even try what grumpy did at the adelaide and try nail a barra in every month down there. Only its such a bl..dy long drive.

Thats enough from me, final wrap-up at the end of the month..
Ill try post fish in the thread as they come aboard so people can follow it rather than wait til the end. Hopefully moony will be keen on doing that as well!

Cheers jonesy, for a good morning laugh

The Jones boy sparks up again with a great post. You have to love a good finish in the Cox Plate. Moony is definately not out in front like sunline and bandit is a northerly for mine he will not stop trying. Good luck to both the guys they have been very impressive all year. Rest assured if I do find a 130 I have some friends that can take care of the other arrangements :lolpoint: :naughty:

Big congrats to Harmsey for kicking this off because its been the best part of FFF this year. The games with last minute fish posts have been amusing. I agree with CB and give a big congrats to all those on 9/10/11 for the year who have had a crack if I knew how much time effort and fuel I would use I may not have.
