SWB Barra Challenge - Corroboree Billabong, NT

Post by SWBBarraChallenge »

CALLING all avid female anglers.

How does combining the hunt for one of the Australia's premier sports fish, with a weekend away with the girls on one of the most picturesque billabongs in the Northern Territory, sound?

Well here's your chance, with expressions for interest now open for the 2013 Secret Women's Business Barra Challenge being held on 4 & 5 October 2013.

Fished on the gorgeous Corroboree Billabong, an hour's drive from Darwin, the nationally-recognised invitation-only tournament, is one of Australia's premier all-women's fishing competitions.

Now in its seventh year, the annual event, fondly referred to as SWB, attracts more than 100 female anglers, who converge from across the Top End and interstate, for a weekend of fishing, fun and great company.

While the revered barramundi, will give you the most points, saratoga will also score and the ladies fish hard to bring in their bounty over two days.
The competition on the water is matched only by the entertainment on offer each evening back at “base camp”, the Corroboree Park Tavern.
The event culminates with a presentation evening on October 5.

SWB Barra Challenge is an opportunity for like-minded women to come together, have a great time, do some fishing and form lasting friendships.
Are you up to the challenge?

Our EOI is in, hope we get selected, can't wait after the disappointment of having to sit out the Barra Nationals (even though the fishing was very ordinary).
Thank heavens I moved to the Territory, everything I love is here!
