Smile, be happy & go fishing.

Work is getting in the way of my fishing.
My boss says fishing is getting in the way of my work.
I will soon fix both of our problems by quitting.

Last Ditch Effort

Post by rossco »

I fished King Creek yesterday in a mate’s boat (28th) and managed a solid 94cm barra. Caught on a Classic 97 dazzler. As usual a typical build up day until the afternoon breeze kicked in. We had King to ourselves from sunrise until around 8am when we were joined by another boat that had been at the other entrance. A few other boats came later in the day when they could get over the sand flats. There was only a couple of boats at the Rock that we saw in the morning and only one in the afternoon. The water was very clear at the Rock so we only had a few shots there before ducking back over to King for the last of the run in. We only saw two other fish landed for the day and another good one that we parted company with on a snag. It was very quiet given that the few days beforehand saw a number of 100 + fish caught by people I know. At least now I am starting to catch some fish in Shoal Bay thanks to the Bandit’s persistence out there.
