2010 FFF Barra Challenge Rules

Post by bandit »

People have had their say and the rules have now been finalised. Here they are for all to refer to if needed... :drinking1:

1)You can submit your best legal barra each month.

2) 1 point will be awarded for every cm of fish.

3) You must submit a picture of the fish on a brag mat, sticker or tape measure -Make sure the fish's mouth is closed and up against the end of the brag mat

4) You must submit your fish before the end of the month - with a report attached by the end of the first week of the following month at the latest. (unless prior arrangment)

5) You don’t have to catch a fish a month to win - but do to complete the barra a month challenge

6) Barra may be caught anywhere, on live bait or on lures

7) You must supply the date captured, location, length and method (lure, live bait) as well as a short catch description or a link to a story about your trip

8 ) NO PHOTOSHOPPED entries

9) If your entry is missing any of the above then it will not count

10) No barramundi fishing guides permitted

Cheers and good luck for the year ahead to all entrants :drinking1:

Rule amendment - fish must be wild and caught in WA, NT or Qld waters.

That means no stocked dam entries. But all states can enter.

We will have a separate Stocked Dam comp - details soon.

"No guides" rule stays - they have many advantages on everyone else.

If Dick wins, it will be expertise, there is plenty of opportunity to do what he does in the NT

Yep, gets a bit complicated if Manton Dam fish are allowed. I will do up a separate comp for the dam fish

The NT gurus must give Dick a run for his money or we won't hear the end of it from the Pilbara crew.

Give it a rest you guys :bonk: :bonk:

As it is I'll be away for a fair part of the year with work commitment so barras might just end up a figment of my imagination for much of the year :-(

Out of curiosity Dick, would you have completed the 12 from 12??

With you keeping such stats, how would have fared for max cm for the year??

Seems things are getting a bit more serious this year? I suppose I have to enter to defend the title or something but I doubt I'll be getting into it like I did the past year. Might just fish for fun this time round an hopefully they will come easier..?

Count me in :bonk:

11) Newspaper in photos to prove catch date
So looking at the Rules....

Bandit is ineligable for this years comp.... ????

Did'nt you do a bit of guiding for the "Thunda" this in my eyes makes you a guide...????
or that rule does not aply to you because you are special...???

& i remember you asking me about insurance ect for guiding this year,, in fact i think i still have the P.M. in relation to this...
or are only certain guides not allowed to enter....
like for example, ones that might kick your ass....
or are am i mistaken that rule is aimed at me......
why not just say

10) Back-cast can't enter the compitition because he might beat me.. ????

For my money you can
GET STUFFED....
