Sounds like a great idea, I am in for sure.
It does not matter if you get a fish every month as I am sure there will be plenty that wont, so I think it should be a healthy and fun comp if plenty get on board.
My boat arives out to the Tiwis on Jan 30th, so its not looking good for January all ready, but I will be trying hard on the 31st, I can tell you.

looks like we are getting some serious interest now
just a reminder that you dont have to catch a barra a month to win. there will be prizes for best barra each month aswell!! so one good fish at any time of the year could land you a prize.
if anyone knows anyone who may be interested in donating some prizes can you send em my way or give me some details so i can follow up

G'day Harmsey,
Now that's what I'm talking about, a nice simple competion where it won't cost you an arm and a leg to enter, count me in.
Getting out and having a crack each month will be the real challenge, unfortunately work interfers with my fishing life.
I will send you a PM regarding sponsorship.
Cheers,
dno

here ya go fellas another monthly prize thanks to DNO62 and his wife Karen
The prize will be for the largest barra for the month, 12 months in total of course, consisting of an OZBREW Premiun TUBS beer recipe kit of their choice valued at $29.95.
The range includes flavours similar to:
Boags, Coopers Pale Ale, Heiniken, Crownie, Guiness, Kilkenny, Caffery's, VB, Melbourne Bitter, Toohey Old, Bavarian Wheat, Urquell Pilsner, Cascade to name a few.
Sponsorship is from the "OZBREW Millner Store" located in the Homemaker Village on Bagot road. Directly opposite BCF.
Ask for Karen.
Website: ozbrew.com.au
so next time you are in at BCF (which is probably far to often) cross over and check out OZBREW, cause any shop that could result in producing cheaper beers can only be a good thing
