« Tue Dec 05, 2017 11:59 am »   Atlantic Salmon farming in Canada faces the same issues as in Tassie, except that we don’t have native stocks being affected. Coincidently, TASSAL (a Tasmanian salmon farming company) operates several farms in the bay next to this one. I was told it was a backup incase the Tasmanian industry collapsed due to disease https://vimeo.com/238445419

« Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:53 pm »   The other reason people have a hard time with the tides there is that they base it on Darwin, but to the East of Cape Hotham the tidal movements are completely different.
« Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:28 pm »   Nice work Tristan. I sounded up heaps of them at the mouth on Tuesday but couldn't get them to bite. How was the water?

« Thu Nov 30, 2017 7:21 pm »   Mob called 'Custom Works' in Tannadice St. Winnellie seem to attract some serious vessels. New boats always out the front being modified for electric motors etc. Can't vouch for them though as haven't had a need for any work but look bus some days.

« Thu Nov 30, 2017 1:38 pm »   How did you go out there Lats? I assume that was your vehicle at the ramp on Tuesday.
« Thu Nov 30, 2017 9:59 am »   At Shady you only have 30mins after high to launch on neaps. Dont use water height like you would at other ramps. Use the time of high tide alone. The window is approx 4hrs before high to 30mins after high
« Thu Nov 30, 2017 9:49 am »   We got there just after it said high tide was. Issue we had was more that we had 2 different high tide times, I had this happen once before at the Sth, said it was the run in, got there and it was half way through the run out. Maby its a computer issue but I do know other people its happend to.
