« Sun Sep 16, 2018 1:04 pm »   Yep ... better off on the old rock bar ramp to the right at hardies from july onwards, much better shade trees for the ute there too
« Sat Sep 15, 2018 2:34 pm »   hardies is a ripper
« Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:42 am »   Dannet , yep it'd be the same as every year ... the hole on the end of the ramp is caused by everyone flooring it to drive on the trailer then holding it there with half revs while they sort the D shackle out .. it's pretty common on most ramps ends up here nowadays, hardies lagoon is a ripper too.
« Fri Sep 14, 2018 10:04 pm »   tangels PM sent .

« Wed Sep 12, 2018 12:44 pm »   Thinking of spending a few days on the harbour. The next few days with the wind good early is it worth shooting out to fentons, south gutter etc for the morning high then get back in to try the flats?? Haven't fished the harbour on these big tides much
« Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:03 am »   I've heard 3.5-4 metres should keep you out of trouble.

« Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:10 pm »   Try burley off the rocks behind the nightcliff swimming pool on a dropping tide while you are at it throw out a live gar big queenies cruise past there. Make sure u are on the lower section of the rocks.
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:05 pm »   Gars come close at Lee point caught heaps in drag nets over the years if you want burley them you have to get your wind and tides right.
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 11:41 am »   Doubt it .... but good luck
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 11:31 am »   Cheers fellas. Reckon this will work land-based around lee point?
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:33 am »   Or burley up a bit on your reef and add tuna oil ....theyll be there in minutes, tiny hooks on 6lb mono will get plenty of good sized ones
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:31 am »   Hit Nightcliff jetty at night burley up with bread and get someone who is handy with a net for fresh gar.
« Thu Sep 06, 2018 3:07 am »   How much tide do you need to get in and out of Buffalo Creek these days? Been a while since I last fished Shoal Bay

« Sat Sep 01, 2018 6:32 pm »   Colour blindness is real. Just saying. Pretty sure the full size chart maps are available from NLC.
« Sat Sep 01, 2018 9:24 am »   Around the likes of Tapa Bay and Ida Bay in Bynoe how are you supposed to discern between the yellow and red section as per the NLC map? One area you can fish and the other you cannot but there is no gps coord fit it. Only as each end, but you can fish parts of it.

« Thu Aug 30, 2018 6:07 pm »   Hey Ninja, not sure if there is a beach assault. They do that during Exercise Talisman Sabre, this is Ex Kakadu. I could be wrong though...
« Thu Aug 30, 2018 9:17 am »   The harbour is filling up with Navy ships from 4 different countries so far. Would love to know where their beach assault landing is planned for this year.

« Sun Aug 26, 2018 10:29 am »   You'll sneak out at 3m ATM just scrapping sand. They cleared the ramp but just pushed the sand to the sides. After this weekends traffic and the westerly we've had I'd say it will be back to 3.5m. I tested it yesterday at 3m and was touching bottom
« Sun Aug 26, 2018 9:24 am »   swamp donkey- read hottunas comment below , 3.5 mt for Dundee
