« Mon Apr 23, 2018 11:41 pm »   there are a few schools of queenies out the front of nightcliff jetty too
« Mon Apr 23, 2018 7:40 pm »   It did the job, I am sure other surface lures would work just as well just get there early morning and have a crack.
« Mon Apr 23, 2018 7:11 pm »   Cheers man, for 60bucks would want to catch fish
« Mon Apr 23, 2018 5:05 pm »   Haha no worries jeffish. Actually run out of jewie so looking at going for morning run early Sunday. Glad you got amongst them

« Mon Apr 23, 2018 4:26 pm »   For queens, try east point, where the reserve starts race course creek side, use pencil poppers over that reefie area there are some big queenies just sitting there. Old mate used to launch a kayak and smash them there.

« Mon Apr 23, 2018 2:33 pm »   They must have a cloud parked over the ramp road keeping it " flooded" as the Dalys 15 metres of floodwater is already gone.

« Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:23 am »   Cheers guys was planning on taking boat this Saturday on building springs to try between mandorah and West Point on outgoing, and around lee point on low up until incoming
« Sun Apr 22, 2018 6:47 pm »   The biggest I've hooked have been from the middle of Woods Inlet and across Mandorah but wide and around West Pt in close but not too close! Clear water is better if deeper but I've caught some monsters on live Mullet in dirty water about 3 ft deep.
« Sun Apr 22, 2018 4:35 pm »   the big ones often loners, i would get them trolling rips around headlands, smalle fish in schools off Cullen Bay and Larrakeyah, West Point to Charles Point is good, also the rock outcrops off Dundee including along beach from the ramp to Bynoe, they also bust up on the flats on incoming tide
« Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:57 pm »   Gibbsy
« Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:57 pm »   Can anyone share some pointers on targeting queenfish around Darwin via boat. Keen on taking boat out and chasing them on surface lures but never seem to find them in large numbers. Do you chase on heaps when clarity is better like for mackies and tuna or work around springs. Thinking of working around West Point area and lee point reefs but trying to work out better tides and wether to focus around high or low. Any info will be much appreciated. Cheers

« Thu Apr 12, 2018 4:26 pm »   Yes Tangels, best skip bait as the leathery skin holds them together for longer. Cairns fleet use them alot for the big girls too for that very reason.
