« Sat Aug 18, 2018 8:33 pm »   Anybody thinking of heading to Dundee tomorrow should be aware the ramp in now min 3.5m. Even at that height capable cars are still getting stuck. This means retrieving before 2pm or probably after 8pm depending on line up

« Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:51 pm »   No worries fish hunter like I said the ones in harbour were finicky and only eating tiny bait some 15gram gillies would of done the job. Flukes a couple of queenies on 10cm roosta poppers. I know the ones out Dundee way aren’t too bad usually so alright on bigger lures. Good luck mate
« Tue Aug 07, 2018 4:02 pm »   Mates up from Melbourne next Sunday heading for a fish for 3-4 days how's the Daly on springs this time of the year ? Any advice will help.
« Tue Aug 07, 2018 1:55 pm »   Awesome Gibbsy. That gives me confidence that if they're around there then they're likely to be out and about off Dundee as well, cheers.
« Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:50 pm »   Big school of queenies, tuna and Mack’s near mandorah, 6 mile area yesterday lunchtime only eating small bait but they hung around for couple of hours
« Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:23 am »   Has anyone been around Dundee Offshore or Sail City lately? If yes, has there been much bait/tuna action? Cheers.

« Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:47 pm »   Swamp donkey - you would need permission from the owners mate as it is private property
« Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:46 pm »   Sounds like the Stena Clyde will be leaving early next week. Just got told now, not sure if 100% true
« Sat Aug 04, 2018 4:04 pm »   How do people get access & or permissions to launch boats out at Howard river mouth? Thanks in advance
« Fri Aug 03, 2018 8:08 am »   Dream rider I was out at my mates block out at tortilla flats last weekend. The fish are still there just gotta annoy them abit to get them to bite. We did well with zerek vibes and 3 inch zmans in chartreuse worked slow if the lure wasn’t deep the fish didn’t look at it. Ended up catching 5 Barra 3 were legal. They are there just gotta be persistent good luck

« Thu Aug 02, 2018 12:56 pm »   KO66 Knock out rust worth using on my trailer springs (getting new ones very soon)
« Wed Aug 01, 2018 7:52 pm »   Thanks Tristan, unfortunately when it comes to the matter of Permits and Land Rights, there are a lot of people who really have no idea of the situation or the complexities involved. For that un-education I partly blame the individual for not getting involved themselves but the majority of my blame sits directly with the Government and AFANT (both past and present administrations). Admittedly, I've never attended an AFANT AGM or read a newsletter as I'm not a member, I've not seen a lot of education around the matter.
« Wed Aug 01, 2018 3:28 pm »   @ Jeno. Maybe not a permit but I believe you need a fishing licence to fish in NSW.............
« Wed Aug 01, 2018 12:30 pm »   Yes, you can thank the High Court for this situation....I would like to see a permit system applied to Sydney Harbour....not much chance of that!
« Wed Aug 01, 2018 10:59 am »   Some insightful comments Jer, well said not many people have your level of understanding

« Tue Jul 31, 2018 7:28 pm »   Interesting point on Ch 9 from NLC that paper based is progressing to electronic! We will pay! Hopefully along The lines of Tassie:)
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:26 pm »   It made the TV & radio today but can't find any links online yet but AFANT & NLC both had comments. Could be media / NCL stirring a storm again but seems to be another response to the 'Blue Mud Bay' which has still not been addressed by any Government.
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 5:45 pm »   will be back up there for a holiday again in october for 3 weeks
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 5:44 pm »   hi all new to forum ,spent 4 years in darwin from 98 to 02 absolutly love the place
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 4:59 pm »   Re resourcing, that's why the Government amended the Fisheries Act to allow particular Rangers to act in the capacity of Water Police (to one degree or other, I don't think I'm exactly correct in what I've said). You would want to hope that any potential permit is a reasonable cost. But in saying all that, for the last 10 years the NLC consistently said they are going to introduce permits and then the NTG has brought them back to the negotiating table. Who knows if that's going to continue..
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 4:12 pm »   Guess they better employ more people to enforce it then, cos they won't be able to keep up... permits better be cheap in any case, and valid for ever once you get one.
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 3:48 pm »   Captain, problem is that any Government that follows won't change a thing.. At the end of the day, the TOs have the legal right to apply permits to their land thanks to the High Court. All the Government can do is negotiate (from a disadvantage at that) to allow rec fishos access to fish.
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 2:40 pm »   Permits for recreational fishing?....you can kiss that Government goodbye..
« Tue Jul 31, 2018 1:59 pm »   any more details ninjafish?

« Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:22 pm »   I called the Darwin shops today, most reports were queenfish, heaps off East Point, and some broadbar and spanish macks off Lee Point
« Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:08 pm »   Has anyone seen many tuna out the front of Darwin Harbour? Few southerners up here and want to get them a couple if I can.
« Thu Jul 26, 2018 1:55 pm »   Yeah, still got em mate. If they do disappear I just stick my finger up my bum and scare em out :-) . Winters been pretty mild compared to what I was preparing for, at least here on the coast. Running the heater way less than we ran the aircon up there. Trout season kicks off soon so I’m about to embark on a steep learning curve.........
« Wed Jul 25, 2018 7:01 pm »   For anyone who is interested did overnighted at corroboree Sunday night fishing was abit slow, got a few Barra, and a toga and froze my nuts off. Will do a post when I have time. Water temp was 27 degrees then dropped to about 25 degrees

« Mon Jul 23, 2018 7:37 pm »   Upgrade the drag while you're at it.
« Mon Jul 23, 2018 12:35 pm »   Benjam Fishing n Outdoor would probably have it in stock ...no kit as such as far as I'm aware spool bearings are about $10 each and level wind worm drive bushes wouldn't be much. The big money is in the one way bearing for the handle if well looked after it can be cleaned and re-oiled. Chronarchs are p..s easy to work on give it a go
