« Sun Oct 14, 2018 8:38 pm »   Congrats to ol mate ...also reminded me about my ripped net too, so got out the doubled over 80lb braid and just finished sewing up the 100mm hole in my net from the latest metery after reading the story... you'd be spewin if you just ended up with the lure.

« Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:15 am »   Early bird gets the worm i guess....@ an hour before a 0318 low thats keen . Personally i reckon a lot of mangrove structure will still be in the water until the very last of the runout but good luck if u go . Tues arvo or the morning of the 21st look like a better option. . If u happen to be sick for those tides LOL ;)
« Sat Oct 13, 2018 4:59 pm »   Looks good for Monday morning tho Flicken!
« Sat Oct 13, 2018 4:51 pm »   unfortunately these tides you speak of do not currently fall during the past week, during my times off... but I do have Monday off work.

« Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:51 am »   Few barra from bynoe and a steering wheel sized batfish on a vibe for something different. Bit windy though. captain seach through the old posts or check the fishfinder for a few spots out on the island.
« Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:16 am »   Or the high incoming Captain. Springs not always the best just my preference.
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 11:12 pm »   Cheers Souva, good info.:)
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 6:02 pm »   Here's a map / link to East Point Reserve, definitely no cast net's in the reserve - but if you were out the front of Pee Wee's, that's not in the reserve according to the maps, so that would be fine. Basically if you walked from Pee Wee's down to the point, that's where you hit the reserve. https://nt.gov.au/marine/recreational-f ... -in-darwin
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 5:24 pm »   Ninja, what's best tides to flick off channel island? the high-outgoing?
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 5:18 pm »   East point today, Nada....
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 4:08 pm »   A concerted effort there will pay off for someone.
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 3:40 pm »   typo sorry!
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 3:40 pm »   channel island
« Mon Oct 08, 2018 7:51 am »   Wow....thought there'd be at least 2 MDF tagged fish after the Armada of boats went out on the weekend!
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:24 pm »   I've only fished out front near Pee Sees twice now, and haven't seen much live bait at all.
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:17 pm »   yeah it sh$ts me when you see it all the time.
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 8:49 pm »   ha ha! how good is this town?!:)
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 8:15 pm »   Live baiters use them all the time at East Point. Never seen anyone pulled up using them. Then again you can do anything you like. Take your dog there while using your cast net and taking under sized while you are at it.
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 7:22 pm »   ahhh, good to know
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 6:05 pm »   NT gov aquatic life reserves is the page captain. .. shows the beach at the start as OK.
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:56 pm »   didn't think you were allowed..some tick was down there slinging one.. I was gunna say something, but then again, it was fun watching him busting his guts, to catch absolutely nothing.. ha ha
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:52 pm »   No captain i dont think yoi can ...hook and line only with minimum 30cm fish and a few other rules too i think.
« Sun Oct 07, 2018 2:45 pm »   are people allowed to use cast nets at East Point reserve?
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:42 pm »   Ramps sound hectic today, a chap landed a 65 off buff last night/this morning. FYI just under 3 hours for the tide change to reach the ramp
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:25 pm »   Oh.... and donuts from Middle Arm.
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:23 pm »   Backward... wound on!
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:23 pm »   hottuna that pisses me when I hear that sort of thing. Dinah Beach ramp chockers and slow this morning cause some dude forgot to put the bungs in and was trying to use a backwar winch to get a boat back on the trailer full of water. Nothing like a 2 lane ramp. :)
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 6:06 pm »   Hope you get the esky back hottuna, pritty low act by some scumbag.
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:43 pm »   Edo, I think you will find there are a number of reasons. Military, gas and rocket launching come to mind. It's very deep very close to shore
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:37 pm »   Esky is pretty unique. It is a 160 or 180L reddy orangey Tropical. It has a hole drilled in each end with a 14mm or so hole saw. It also has a 1m long Catch and Release sticker on the lid which is quite faded. Any info or further questions feel free to flick me a PM.
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:34 pm »   Have decided I'm gonna offer a pretty decent reward for information on my missing esky. Reward will far outweigh the value of the esky.
« Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:30 pm »   Buff ck ramp was packed today ... trailers all the way back to the speed bump on the corner
