« Fri Nov 16, 2018 11:03 am »   Anyone know someone who is keen and reputable to service a 40hp Johnson 2-stroke for me? :)
« Fri Nov 16, 2018 10:21 am »   @Baffles : Heaps of powertails at sampan on the weekend on try and be there for high tide runout the 2000 runs we did got a few . Guides were trolling area below ramp section according to another bloke we saw.
« Fri Nov 16, 2018 10:18 am »   Baffles make sure you get you tide calculations right. I would say you want 4m of water at the barrage/ramp to launch comfortably. Tides are roughly 2 hours after point stuart tides.
« Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:09 am »   Neap tides baffles troll big bombers/ classics along main channel at mouth of shady camp sound up fish and expect a bit of a conga line, could do the same technique at tommycut mouth. By gov website you can check road conditions, some of the other guys like lats should be able to give you some tips
« Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:47 pm »   We are pretty new to Darwin and Barra fishing - we are looking at going to Shady Camp on Saturday to try our luck. Any suggestions on the best times, tides and where we should try? I assume the road is open. Thanks

« Sat Nov 10, 2018 9:48 am »   Avaganda, Do you want to eat them or use for bait?
« Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:20 pm »   LHS of coroboree ramp is shallow too.
« Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:18 pm »   @dreamrider coroboree should be OK still . I did a hardies lagoon trip this evening, launching was tricky... but it was worth it.
« Thu Nov 08, 2018 8:58 pm »   Does anyone know if their are cockles or pipi’s that you can dig for in Darwin ir the wider area.
« Thu Nov 08, 2018 4:56 pm »   Awesome cheers mate !
« Thu Nov 08, 2018 2:49 pm »   dreamrider it can fish well at night and particularly if lightening around. In my opinion the tides do not matter but the light of a full moon can

« Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:59 am »   Something's amiss. The sandbar stayed just under the water today!
« Fri Nov 02, 2018 11:18 pm »   Anyone thinking of hitting Dundee in the next few days be aware you need 3.2m of Point Jenny Tide to retrieve. Leave yourself a good 45minute as it is easy to miss and everybody is racing back at the same times clogging the ramp
« Thu Nov 01, 2018 4:51 pm »   Exposed enough to walk on at 3.4m if it's not too wavy. You should get 2 hours of play if you're there by 7.45.
« Thu Nov 01, 2018 1:59 pm »   Sandbar starts to expose about 3.7.

« Wed Oct 31, 2018 3:45 pm »   Yep did the same one night when I was getting carried away and forgot the tide was going out. 40-50cm water for a hundred metres and winched the boat up from standing start. Reckon that was about 2 metres at the time.
« Wed Oct 31, 2018 12:34 pm »   the lowest i have got out at dinah was 1.9m low wheels of the trailer were off bottom of the ramp. Winched boat on trailer. 480 topender. was at the start of the year though
« Wed Oct 31, 2018 12:11 pm »   Alfie i work of the same as ninja fish with a 5.35m boat about 3m minimum
« Wed Oct 31, 2018 11:02 am »   I work on 3m minimum with a 6m boat. I don't reckon 2m would be enough with a tinny.
« Wed Oct 31, 2018 8:58 am »   What’s the lowest you can retrieve from Dinah beach now days with a 4.5m tinny? Cheers
« Wed Oct 31, 2018 8:50 am »   Yep sorted it... 3.8m for lauching @ cost of 50 bucks
