Re: Lorella Springs
Gday guys,
Just thought id chuck my 2 cents in in regards to the rock bars in rosie creek... I took my 4.5 centre console bluefin ranger up there in may 2014, didn't have any dramas with the rock bars. I had to wait for an hour 1 morning till the tide filled in but was all good. They were shallow and you do need to cruise nice and easy on the first few trips marking a route then your sweet once been up n dowm a few times....
The track in was nothing compared to what id been told or read i think i went into low range once for a small step up just to allow a little more control with the boat on, we were in there pretty early and the barra fishing was poor but we could not put a line in without pulling out a queeine great fun for a few days...
Great place and easy to get to would recommend the trip to anyone keen on a remote trip thats easy to get to!
cheers

Hi. We are Lorella Springs ... ***smiles*** So may be a little bit biased, but a couple of links from others you know that rave about us.
Hope to see you soon. Regards, Pete.
One of the many times that "Top of Down Under" has been back to Lorella Springs Wilderness Park.
Always plenty of Adventure.

Lorella Springs Wilderness Park, Savannah Way, Gulf of Carpentaria, NT. If you miss it, you WILL regret it.
1 million coastal acres of unspoilt Paradise.
1,000 km of tracks. Direct launching into the untouched Gulf.

The "4WD Action" guys put a track into a part of Lorella never accessed before .
But now we have made this a graded road ... right to the Gulf with its own launching ramp. Most untouched part of Australia !!

Because there was very little "Wet" this year access is quite dry, and everything open now.
