The reason for this is that the Safari browser implementation on ipads and iphones doesn't allow direct file system access to the device, so it can't upload the attachment. If you have alternative browser options (which I wouldn't know, I'd never buy an Apple device of any kind) try them, perhaps you can work around it by using other software.
There is a possible fix in the works, but I want to be clear that this is a problem Apple created, a shortcoming of their devices, and not one of FFF or any other website. Any way we can fix it through the site will be a rough hack designed to work around the device's limitations.
