Jdog I’m getting a 5.8m Axis built at the moment, 6 month wait before the build started and I think they’re up to an 8 month wait now, I paid my deposit back in October so you should be getting close now.
Local builders do great boats as well, but I found with the boat / motor and trailer package that I saved thousands of dollars. Also some of the standard hull features won me over like the fuel capsule and drain.
Col and his team are great to work with and try to give you exactly what you want but you need to have flexibility as it is hard to manage a build 4000K’s away.
Have not heard a negative comment against any of his hulls, and very rare to see any of his current builds up for sale.
A couple of photo’s below showing my boat nearing completion.

I've got a 5.5 Axis C/C with a 140 lean burn Suzuki - col makes an awesome boat that rides nicely and is built tough! you wont regret the wait.

I believe Origin boats went into Liquidation last month

Yes they have but Col left them at the start of the year and is doing his own thing on a smaller scale.
